The German Kish Kindergarten in Richmond/Surrey plays an integral part in the running of this charity. Thurit Berge, the chairwoman of ‘Hope for Konya’, is the founder of Kish. Ever since she started her engagement for the people in Konya, she also regularly involved the children in her school. In a playful way they learn a lot about how the children in Konya are living. There are ‘African Parties’ with music and dance. And the children also learn how important it is to share. As part of the yearly aid collections at Kish each child gives one of its own toys as a gift to a little friend in Konya. For the children it is a fantastic experience to hear that their toy finally after a very long journey arrives in the hands of a boy or a girl in Konya.
